FireWatch Map Service

The Firewatch map service provides emergency services personnel with an online map application to help in the management of bush fires over Australia. Datasets include fire hotspots from MODIS and NOAA imagery, Landsat and MODIS satellite imagery, burnt area maps since 1997, greenness images updated daily and weekly, lightning data and other useful map layers. 

Firewatch Map Service - Public Access
A zoom level restriction applies to this service. To gain access to the enhanced subscriber map service please contact Ron.Craig@landgate.wa.gov.au Tel. 08 9387 0330.

Firewatch Map Service - Subscriber Access
This service is only available to subscribers. No zoom level restriction applies, and this services allows access to file downloads and includes datasets such as cadastral boundaries and detailed roads over WA.

The above map services have been found to not work correctly in Netscape versions 4.6 and 4.7. Internet Explorer version 6+ is the optimum browser to use for these services.
